American Action Network & Congressional Leadership Fund Appoint Corry Bliss as Executive Director

WASHINGTON The 501(c)(4) American Action Network (@AAN) and their sister super PAC the Congressional Leadership Fund (@CLFSuperPAC) today announced that Corry Bliss will join as the executive director of both organizations. During the 2016 cycle, Bliss led Senator Rob Portman’s campaign to a 21-point victory in Ohio.

“We are excited to welcome Corry to AAN and CLF,” said former Senator Norm Coleman (MN), Chairman of AAN and co-founder of CLF.  “Corry is one of the best young operatives in the country and just managed one of the best campaigns of the 2016 cycle. I look forward to working with him to build on our success, and I know we will continue to impact our nation’s policies and leaders under his watch.”

“We have a great record of winning races at AAN and CLF, with a 29-3 record in 2016,” said Fred Malek, Founder and Board Member of the American Action Network. “Corry is a proven winner and will continue and accelerate our record of success.”

“With an emphasis on utilizing data, grassroots, and technology, Corry led our campaign from behind in the polls to a 21-point victory. He’s one of the best strategists in the country and AAN and CLF will be well-served by Corry and his commitment to growing winning organizations,” Senator Rob Portman said.

Corry Bliss has extensive experience on federal and state campaigns across the country, including managing Senator Rob Portman’s 2016 re-election campaign, Senator Pat Roberts’ come-from-behind win in 2014, and Linda McMahon’s 2012 Senate campaign that ran 7 points ahead of the top of the ticket. Bliss was recently named as “one of his party’s most closely watched young strategists” by the New York Times.

In 2016, American Action Network and its sister super PAC, Congressional Leadership Fund, spent a combined $48 million in independent expenditures in 32 U.S. House races.

The American Action Network is a 501(c)(4) ‘action tank’ that creates, encourages and promotes center-right policies based on the principles of freedom, limited government, American exceptionalism, and strong national security. The American Action Network’s primary goal is to put our center-right ideas into action by engaging the hearts and minds of the American people and spurring them into action to advance our center-right policy agenda.

Founded in 2011, Congressional Leadership Fund is the super PAC endorsed by House Republican Leadership and dedicated exclusively to preserving and expanding the Republican Majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. CLF is an independent-expenditure super PAC that operates independently of any federal candidate or officeholder.
