Slotkin “wasn’t avoiding” corrupt UAW leaders

According to The Detroit News this morning, “the public image of United Auto Workers is taking a pounding” thanks to their seemingly unending corruption scandal. But Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin couldn’t care less!

The Detroit News reports today Slotkin “wasn’t avoiding the UAW,” at this past Labor Day parade, even as top officials pled guilty to a litany of charges from conspiracy, fraud, money laundering, and more.

In fairness, Slotkin probably “wasn’t avoiding” the UAW… but only because they had a fat check for her. To date, UAW has given Slotkin $12,610 to fund her campaign, the most of any Michigan Democrat.

Anyone want to ask her if she has plans to send their corrupt money back?

“Elissa Slotkin told Michigan she would ‘return decency and integrity’ to politics, yet has done nothing to rid her campaign of UAW’s corrupt money, even as their leadership pleads guilty to every crime in the book from money laundering to conspiracy,” said CLF Spokesman Calvin Moore. “The longer Elissa Slotkin continues cozying up to UAW’s crooked leaders, the more voters realize her campaign promise to clean up Washington was just another lie.”
