CLF and AAN Raise $19.3 Million In First Half of Year

The Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF) and the American Action Network (AAN) announced today a combined fundraising haul of $19.3 million in the first six months of 2019. CLF, the super PAC endorsed by House Republican Leadership, raised $4.8 million and amassed over $7.8 million cash on hand, a record for the organization during an off-year. American Action Network raised $14.5 million.

The combined $19.3 million represents a 7x increase from the same period in the last presidential cycle (Combined $2.7 million). Moreover, CLF’s $7.8 million war chest is more than double what CLF has ever had on hand to close Q2 of an off year ($3.5 million).

“Even with the national focus on the presidential election, CLF is raising significant early funds because of the widespread enthusiasm behind the effort to win back the House Majority in 2020,” said CLF President Dan Conston. “As Democrats in the House bearhug a socialist agenda, CLF is well-positioned to help Republicans win back the Majority behind the strong leadership of Leader Kevin McCarthy and Whip Steve Scalise.”
